Welcome to Bradford County Paws

We are a non profit organization founded in January of 2006 to help the homeless, unwanted animals in our community.  We provide adoption programs, low cost spay/neuter programs and education material to the community.  Through our efforts we hope to make a difference in the lives of animals that do not have a voice.

Economy has slowed rescues and adoptions @ BCPAWS

Due to the current state of the economy and the high cost of rescuing, vetting, and maintaining our current rescues (sometimes for 6 months or more) we have had no other options but to slow our rescue intake at this time.

It is very unfortunate that at a time when intake of animals at high kill shelters are at an all time high, we are unable to help, but until donations, volunteers, and the economy picks up we are forced to tighten the belt and help the animals we currently have committed to finding forever homes.

Thank you all for your support over the years, and we are still here for referrals, help with spay and neuter programs, and the food bank.

Thanks again for your support.

Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program for Bradford County

The low cost spay and neuter program is still available in Bradford County.

Thank you for your support of this program.

If you are interested in having your dog or cat spay and neutered please contact River City Community Animal Hospital at 904.733.8123 to schedule an appointment.

The mobile unit does come to Tractor Supply once a month for dogs and a different day for cats.

Thank you for being responsible pet owners and helping curb the unneccesary euthanization of hundreds of animals in our community.

Moses aka Tanks journey home

Last week we were contacted by a concerned citizen that found a stray dog in the Winn Dixie parking lot in town and asked us if we could help. We told them we would take it into our rescue and keep it safe and look for a possible owner. A few days later we were contacted by a man named Dale saying that the dog on our website might be their dog Tank. Tank had run away from home when he was scared by gunshots in the neighborhood and had been missing for a week. After comparing notes and confirming with Dale & Kassie through pictures, it was determined that we indeed had Tank and were able to reunite him with his family.

Thank you Dale and Kassie for working with us to get Tank home. I am so glad we could help and Tank sure was glad to see his kids!

Sadie Needs a new home

Looking for a Life Long Friend!

Sweet mixed female, approximately 10-18 months needs a permanent home. She is very energetic and loves to be with her pack. She is 90% house broken and bicycle trained. She interacts well with other dogs, but her size (~60 lbs) and energy makes play a little hard on the smaller ones.

Due to her youth and size she needs a fenced yard, daily walks or bicycle runs, and some play time. She loves to hang with you while you’re working in the yard or on a project. But, if you just want couch company, she may not be for you.

However if you’re looking for a training partner, a friend to take to the beach and a loyal, alert, smart animal companion don’t waste this opportunity. Contact us to set up a meeting and see if this is the right dog for you.

Buddy Boy - PET OF THE WEEK

Buddy Boy is looking for a new home because his family is having a baby and he is just a very active baby himself and will be to much to handle when the new baby comes.

He is 14 months old, loves to play ball all the time. He is housebroken and loves lots of attention.

Just like with any youngster he needs some training, and manners, but does well with other dogs, cats and kids.

If you are interested in adopting Buddy Boy please fill out an application and email it to us and we will get back with you shortly.

Thank you for considering a rescue pet.
