We need your help
Bradford County PAWS is always looking for wonderful, caring people who would like to help to save the lives of these beautiful pets. We have a variety of different opportunities available to fit your schedule so please help us by volunteering. Bring your children and teach them great life lessons. The following are just a few areas that we could use help with:
Transporter – transporter’s help us rescue animals out of the shelter or dangerous situations and get them to the vet, our rescue or other rescue organization that have room for them at the time. We travel all over the state, so we need volunteers everywhere. Just because you don’t live in Bradford County doesn’t mean we don’t need your help! If you are retired, or work different hours or anyone who has a few hours to spare we could use you’re help.
Computer savvy people - anyone who has a computer and is willing to help us post to the different groups to make sure we get the animals as much publicity as possible. We have projects from time to time that we also need people with computer skills to help out with such as newsletters, flyers, brochures etc.
Foster parents - Foster parents allow us to take in rescue dogs and learn as much as we can about temperment, eating habits and general personality so we can give the perspective adopters as much information as possible and make the best match for our dog friends.
Public relations/media/marketing – we need someone who can get the word out!!!! Who can tell the public and the media what we are doing. Keep Bradford County PAWS in the forefront of people’s minds and show that we are a great asset to our community and a reliable resource for animal welfare information.
Event staff – several times through out the year we participate in events to bring attention to our mission and to raise funds. We need people who are willing to give a few hours of their time to man booths, set up tents, run errands, etc….
I’m sure many of you are busy, as we all are, but it is critical that we make a little time to do, what we know, is the right thing to do for the animals. Saving the lives of these beautiful creatures has to be the right thing to do, so please help us out!
A volunteer application is available under the forms tab. Even a few hours a month could make a big difference in the lives of so many. Think about it.
